Boaties Crew:
Captain and First Mate: Mike and Sue Hart have been boaties on and off for 30 years, ever since they bought a Hartley 16 trailer-sailer in
1975. Their current escape machine is an RL24 trailer-sailer, "Hart Beat", which is used for stress relief in the waters adjacent to
Fraser Island. She also gets a run in the more social annual races including the Bay to Bay and Maryborough's "Boss of the
River".
Ships Company: Lindsay Negus is something of a local legend when it comes to fishing and has been part of the business
since the move to Ellena Street. His experience (recreational and professional fishing, wholesale and retail tackle sales and
operating fish and chip shops) covers every facet of fishing and makes him a font of information on the local fishing scene.

Bonnie Linwood also has a love of great Australian pastimes, fishing, boating and camping. Bonnie is listed in the businesses'
major assets and her quiet efficiency keeps the show running smoothly.
Ian Jorgensen has a lengthy recreational boating and fishing background and is now putting that knowledge to work in the
retail arena.
Boaties Business: Boaties Warehouse aims to do what other boating stores on the Fraser Coast don't do; provide
a range of boating accessories to cater for the tastes of all boaties. From everyday items such as boat bungs and spark plugs,
ranging through annual requirements including anodes and anti-foul, to less often needed items such as steering cables and
stern gland packing.
Fishing tackle is becoming a major part of the business. Our product range is constantly growing in response to local demand.
Whether you are chasing barra or bass at Lenthalls Dam, whiting, bream or flathead in the Great Sandy Strait, tailor on the beaches
of Fraser Island, reef fish up from Hervey Bay or snapper or big reds out over the Wide Bay Bar, we've got you covered.
Boaties History: The business started life in 1997 as Mary River Chandlery in rented premises at the Mary River Marina.
With memories of the 1999 flood still fresh in their minds, Mike and Sue purchased the Ellena St premises and relocated in 2000.
The change to Boaties Warehouse was made in 2004.
Boaties Customers: This is the fun bit. We get to meet some terrific people, including boaties and fishermen from Tin Can
Bay to Burrum Heads and all ports in between, local professional fishermen, cruising yachties, boat builders, sailors, the lot.
